U720 out of market?

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

There are rumors lately that U720 would have its end of life on July 23rd. How true is this?

People were trying to buy U720 on Sprint stores and even online but they were told that U720
would reach its EOL on July 23. Sprint employees’ claim on the EOL of U720 is quite odd because
Sprint has raised the price of this PC Card to about 30%. Isn’t that odd?
What I know is when something reaches its EOL its price should drop to some point so customers would flock
and take the item out of the inventory.
With all these rumurs and speculations I think its just another marketing strategy whatever.
Well because of the increased price I think U720 is not totally out of market. So for those
who still want to grab one of those pc cards, maybe its not yet too late!
