New Mobile Router from Kyocera

The KR2 Mobile Router was released by Kyocera Wireless last October 19, 2007. This new router enables multiple users to share a high-speed internet connection with rates up to 3.1 Mbps and create a Wi-Fi® Hotspot with multiple EVDO devices. PLus users can easily migrate to future EV-DO releases and upgradeable firmware.

It supports PCMCIA, Express card, or USB connection (phone or modem) and offers four Ethernet LAN ports to connect non-Wi-Fi-enabled devices. KR2 can be used as a conventional router with wireless EV-DO as a backup along with fail-over capabilities.

For security purposes, it Wi-Fi protected so it prevents unauthorized devices from connecting when pairing with another Wi-Fi device.

Palm Centro from Sprint

The latest phone from Palm is now available on Sprint stores. Palm Centro will run on Sprint’s CDMA network, and support this carrier’s high-speed EV-DO wireless network.

WiFi for Alltel Customers

Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network providing coverage across the nation, launched their latest Alltel Wi-Fi last October 8, 2007. Powered by Boingo Wireless, it is an easy-to-use solution that instantly provides customers with laptop access to thousands of hotspots throughout North and South America. You can also have wireless broadband access at speeds of up to 2.4 Mbps through Alltel Wireless Internet service.

Wi-Fi and EVDO Wireless Internet is also offered as part of this service. It includes unlimited Wi-Fi access from any supported hotspot for $10 a month. There are also Alltel prepaid Wi-Fi cards available at its retail stores for $20 a week or $10 a day.

Boingo Wireless is the easiest-to-use network with thousands of Wi-Fi Hot Spots in the places you go - hundreds of airports, thousands of hotels, cafes, and other public places.
